Well, as has happened in the past on our family blogs, I’ve paralyzed myself with a backlog of good intentions. I thought I would be able to go back a give a proper summary to the myriad activities and visitors we enjoyed since July. Nope. I just can’t keep up, and it’s been keeping me from posting anything else. So I hereby declare Blog Bankruptcy (again). Instead of beating myself up I will take this opportunity to summarize our first year in Munich. One year ago today, we left Salem.
This has been a good week so far. Yeah, I know it’s only Tuesday, but I still stand by the statement.
[I’m sick (again, or still; depends on your perspective). This weekend I did essentially nothing but lay in bed, nap, and binge on Netflix. I’m a bit more rested today, but still mostly useless. One thing I can do, however, when I am feeling under the weather is catch up the blog and the photo albums.]
All too soon my parents flew back to Boston. Even though they’ve only been gone a week I miss them very much. We all do. Continue reading And in a blink they were gone
Last Sunday we decided to take a little road trip to Salzburg, Austria. It was only a 1.5 hour drive south, and the weather was clear enough that the Alps dazzled us all the way there. I knew when leaving Massachusetts that I would really miss the ocean, but I think the Alps may give me a suitable replacement while we are here. They are beautiful and ever changing in their appearance, depending on weather time of day, and my position. Just like my ocean.
Anyway, here are a few pictures from our first international trip as a family while living in Germany. I promise it won’t be our last.
