So you’ve decided to come visit us in Germany.  Yay!!!!!  We are beyond excited to have you! Please keep in mind I am a good B&B host but a lousy tour guide. All my energies have gone into the very pedestrian tasks of learning how to live here. Please don’t count on me to plan your Munich activities or you may be disappointed. My worst nightmare is a houseful of people looking at me saying, “What are we doing today?”  I am still too new to really know enough to be interesting or accurate. And different people like doing different things. So please look at your guidebooks and the travel sites and decide some of the things you think you’d like to do while here. Definitely ask as many questions as you’d like. I love traveling and planning travel, even vicariously. Larry and I will help you to the best of our ability and may be able to give advice or commentary based on our limited experience. You can also send me things to add to this blog for future reference.
As for the different activities you’d like to do, whether it’s heading off to another city,   another country, sight-seeing in the heart of Munich, or hanging out on the balcony, we will try to join you for as much as work and school and family obligations will allow, but please don’t feel that you have to include our family in all your plans, be it day trips or overnight excursions. We want to see you and spend time with you of course (of course!!), but we are aware that this is your vacation, so make it what you want it to be and we will support you in every way we can. Don’t hesitate to ask for anything or help yourself to anything. We want you to feel absolutely at home.  Also, before you get here, please remind me of any food/drink allergies, aversions, restrictions, or preferences.  I’ll make sure we are well stocked for you and your family.
Now hurry up and get here!!!!
